I recently attended a webinar on improving patient comfort during imaging procedures, and it really opened my eyes to a few new practices. For instance, using guided imagery and tailored music playlists seems to have greatly helped patients relax. I’m curious if anyone here has tried these methods or has other tips for enhancing the patient experience during scans.
I’ve found that offering patients a weighted blanket during scans really helps them feel more secure and comfortable. It’s surprising how much just that little extra weight can help — definitely worth a try! Have you seen any other techniques work well?
Using a heating pad on patients’ feet during scans has worked wonders for me. It’s like giving them a mini spa experience while they’re in the machine, though I guess we can’t go all out with pedicures just yet. Has anyone tried aromatherapy in the room, too? That could really set the mood.
I’ve used calming scents like lavender in the room; it really sets a relaxing vibe. How about pairing that with music?
