Adjusting monthly dosimeter exchange timing

I’m planning to shift our Landauer badge exchange from the first Monday to the last Friday of each month to match courier pickup and reduce turnaround. From a 10 CFR 20 compliance and record retention standpoint, I see no issue since the wear period stays 1 month, but has anyone had auditors question a timing change like this?

We moved from the first Monday to the “last Friday” too — no auditor grief — as long as Landauer’s end-of-wear dates match your declared wear period and you document the change in your RSP/change log. The only snag () was off‑cycle folks; we did a one‑time short wear to realign and noted it per 10 CFR 20.2106: eCFR :: 10 CFR Part 20 -- Standards for Protection Against Radiation. Are you planning a crossover month or flipping everyone at once?

I agree on the timing part — here’s what worked for us. We documented the change and flagged it in our audits, so everything’s stayed smooth. Have you thought about how to communicate this to the team?
